Bangladesh Railway on Wednesday introduced a new train on the Dhaka-Narayanganj-Dhaka route.
With the new one, 13 trains will now operate on the route making total 26 trips to and from Dhaka.
Railway Minister Suranjit Sengupta inaugurated the new train at Kamalapur Railway Station around 2:30pm.
He also announced plans of turning the Dhaka-Narayanganj rail track to double tracks.
Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy and MP Nasim Osman were present on the occasion.
