Trading at the country's premier bourse saw moderate gains on Wednesday breaking the downtrend of the past three days.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange's benchmark general index, DGEN, gained 65 points or 1.27 percent from Tuesday's closing of 5,156 to reach 5,213 points at the end of trading hours.
Total trade equalled 1,11,140 while total value was above Tk 405.5 crore.
Of the issues traded, 227 advanced, 28 declined while only 4 remained unchanged.
