Five more bodies have been recovered from the site of Saturday’s launch capsize in Patuakhali’s Galachipa, raising the death toll in the mishap to 13.
At least 15 more passengers are still missing.
The bodies were found after rescue operations resumed on Sunday morning, Sub-Inspector Abdul Halim of Kalagachhia Police Outpost said.
Eight bodies were recovered on Saturday night.
The vessel, ML Shathil, left Galachipa terminal for Patuakhali town on Saturday afternoon and was caught in the storm in the Kalagachhia river.
It sank after a while.
