A 15-year old girl has been allegedly gang-raped by friends of her elder brother in Chittagong.
Md Bahar, 45, and Md Russel, 20, were detained from the city’s Enayet Bazar on Sunday morning based on the victim’s statement, police said.
Several youths posing as friends of the girl’s elder brother picked her up from their house in Tulatoli slum on Friday afternoon, Inspector Nezam Uddin of Kotwali police said.
“The girl told us that four to five youths dragged her to a nearby hillock where she was raped,” he said.

The family immediately lodged a complaint with police.
Police recorded the girl’s statement and detained the two men.
The detainees have confessed involvement in the rape, police said.
