DHAKA: The blaze, which broke out at a godown of a six-storied building located at Elephant Road in the city on Monday morning, was doused in the afternoon.
The members of firefighters took the blaze under control that broke out at a godown of a six-storied building located at Bata Signal on Elephant road of the city.
Sources said on information, seven fire-fighting units rushed in and doused the blaze after four-hour efforts.
Besides, the vehicular movement resumed, which was halted during the fire.
Earlier in the day, the fire broke out at a godown of a six-storied building located at Bata Signal on Elephant road in the city.
The godown was identified as a fabrics-shop named Hasan Brothers.
Fireman of fire service control room Anisur Rahman said, “The fire broke out at about 8:00am.”
He added: “The reason behind origination of the fire could not be known immediately.”
