“We have presented a sovereign country to the new generation now it is their great responsibility to turn the country into Sonar Bangla,” he said.
The leader of the forum made the observation while talking to banglanews after paying homage to the martyrs at the National Mausoleum.
Regarding the war criminals trial, he said, “We have become optimistic after the formation of second tribunal. We will be more active to remove the weaknesses of first tribunal.”
Calling upon the political parties to work unitedly, he said all political parties should work unitedly forgetting the differences to build Sonar Bangla.
He added: “Those who work against country’s peace and welfare and create anarchic situation, they should be considered as miscreants, not the activists of any party.”
Sector commanders forum leader General (retd) Harun and Osman Gani were among others present.
