A youth was killed as a covered crushed into his bicycle in Tiger pass area of the port city Monday.
The deceased was identified as Shamsuzzaman, 20, son of Abdul Momin, hailed from Chauddagram of Comilla district.
Sub-Inspector of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police camp Jahirul Islam told banglanews that a rashly driven covered van knocked him down in the area, leaving him injured critically.
He was rushed to CMCH where duty doctors declared him dead.
The driver along with his helper managed to flee the scene
