An unidentified miscreant was killed in a gun fight between police and
his cohorts in Shah Ali Thana area of the city on Sunday night.
During the gunfight, two police personnel--Muazzem Uddin and Moshiur Rahma--were also injured.
Sub-Inspector of Shah Ali Thana Jahidur Rahman told banglanews that on information of terrorists attack in a local cooperative society, plain-cloth police took position in Rain Khola area.
Sensing the presence of police, two motorcyclist miscreants shot randomly targeting them at 7:00pm in the area, leaving two police personnel injured, he added.
He said in a counter attack of police, one of the miscreants was injured and another managed to flee the scene.
The injured was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 10:00pm, hospital sources said.
