At least 15 people were injured as a fire broke out at Akunji Tower in Shibbari cross area of Khulna city on Sunday noon.
Sources said that a fire, originated from a generator blast at Akunji Tower, blazed Northern University’s computer lab, library and show room of Apex shoe in the tower, leaving 15 people injured.
The injured were rushed to different clinic of the city.
Senior Officer of Khulna Sadar Fire Station Masud Sarder told banglanews, “The fire caused losses of almost one crore taka, and goods of 110 crore taka were recovered.”
However, several units of fire fighters extinguished the fire after about one and half hour of effort,
