Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hasan Mahmud Khandakar would leave
Dhaka Sunday for France to join a 3-day long International Environment
Crime Summit (IECS).
A press release of Police headquarters disclosed the matter.
According to the press release, the summit will be held Tuesday at the headquarters of Interpol in Lyon of France where the strategies on how to prevent environmental crime, will be determined.
Police heads and environment specialists of 58 countries would participate the summit. The IGP will exchange views on different topics with them on the matter.
After the conference, the police boss will return here on April 1.
Earlier, in 2010, the decision to hold this summit was taken in Interpol’s 79th general conference.
