BRAHMANBARIA: A person was stabbed to death and other three were injured in an attack by rival at Akhaura of the district on Monday night over family feuds.
The deceased was identified as Sohel Mia, 25, son of Farid Mia and injured are Elias Mia, Ebrahim Mia, Haruna Begum of Noamora village of Moniondho Union of the Upazila.
Farid Mia, father of the deceased, said to banglanews, “A bad relationship went on between Elias and his wife Bonna for some days. A meeting was arranged with neighbors and relatives of Bonna at night to solve the problem. At one stage of exchanging hot word, some people led-by Shamsu Mia, Bonna’s uncle, and his son Helal Uddin attacked us with sharp knives, leaving my three sons and wife injured.”
Injured were rushed to Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared Sohel dead at 10pm, he added.
Akhaura Health Complex doctor Dr Abdul Kadir told, “Several injury marks found on Sohel’s back.”
Confirming the incident, Akhaura Thana OC Monirul Islam told banglanews, “On information, police rushed to the Health Complex.”
