Soon after a failed RAB operation to trace missing BNP leader M Ilias Ali on Saturday night, his wife has met party chief Khaleda Zia.
Tahsina Rushdir Luna met the leader of opposition at her Gulshan office around 10pm.
BNP acting secretary-general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Khandker Mosharraf Hossain and party's Dhaka city unit chief Sadeq Hossain Khoka were also there.
Earlier in the day, a joint police-RAB operation in Pubail, Gazipur failed to find the missing Ilias Ali as they conducted a three-hour search based on information given to his wife by an unknown caller.
Luna accompanied the RAB-police team during the operation, the elite force said.
Ali, one of the organising secretaries of the BNP and the party's Sylhet unit chief, has been missing since early hours of Wednesday.
The opposition has called a dawn-to-dusk hartal for Sunday throughout the country to protest his disappearance, but said the strike call would be withdrawn if he returns.
