A satellite television channel on Friday claimed unidentified miscreants threatened cops including Salauddin Khan, office-in-charge (OC) of Mirpur police station with text messages on Thursday night.
A TV report of ATN Bangla, satellite television channel, showed a text message where the police were asked to accompany the citizens.
The miscreants also said they are observing the activities and movements of the cops.
“The government’s days are over”- was included in the SMS.
A policeman told the reporter that they were threatened over telephone several times.
The miscreants threatened that they would attack his house and harm his children while they are going to school, the policeman added.
But the police or the reporter did not identify the miscreants.
