Bombs hurled at Suranjit, BNP leader’s house

Unidentified miscreants hurled crude bombs at the houses of minister without portfolio Suranjit Sengupta and BNP leader Abdul Mannan at Zigatola and Dhanmondi this morning.
None however was hurt in the attacks.
Of the two bombs hurled at Suranjit’s house, one hit the boundary wall of Sengupta’s house while another was blasted in front his residence around 6:00am.
No one was arrested in connection with the explosions.
The criminals fled the scene immediately, said Kazi Mainul Islam, officer-in-charge of Hazaribagh Police Station.
Another three crude bombs went off on the main road in front of Abdul Mannan’s house at Dhanmondi Road-1 around 10:30am, said Masud Karim, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhanmondi Police Station.
Barrister Nasir Uddin Asim, a central leader of the BNP and also the son-in-law of Mannan, lives in the house. He is now in abroad.
No one was hurt in either incident.
