A group of people on Wednesday vandalised the windshields of some 30 mini trucks at Gabtoli in the capital following a quarrel between two transport workers.
Protesting the vandalism the mini truckers blocked the Gabtoli-Technical crossing Road for nearly one and half hour in the afternoon.
Abdul Malek, officer-in-charge of Darussalam Police Station, told The Daily Star that a group of youth from Bagbari area vandalised the windshields of some 30 mini trucks around 2:00pm.
On information, the truckers chased the youths and put a barricade on the road protesting the vandalism.
Later they withdrew the blockade at around 4:30pm.
Police said, on Tuesday night, two transport workers locked into a quarrel over a trifle matter which led to Wednesday’s incident.
