A woman was crushed under the wheel of a
recklessly driven minibus at Asad Gate on Mirpur Road in the capital
Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Masuma Begum Chadni, 32, a resident of Palashi area.
Chadni was travelling on a motorcycle with a friend on her way to a relative’s house at Khilkhet when a speeding minibus hit them at around 3:30pm.
The victim skidded off the motorcycle onto the road where she died on the spot after being crushed by the minibus as the driver tried to flee the scene.
The motorcyclist, however, escaped injuries.
